Dr. Howell has been our vet since we got our first baby – Nalla form SPCA, she is a dalmation lab mix and has been seeing Dr. Howell since she was 6mos old! She turned 16 this July 2010!
Dr. Howell has always been an excellent pal to our babies and we appreciate his staff who are super sweet and helpful! A hometown vet right here in Pinellas County! Thank you Midway Animal Hospital!

Dr Howell has been my vet ever since I got my Nalla. She was 6 mos old and it was 1996. She is now 15 yrs old! Dr Howell has always been an excellent top notch vet! He explains exactly what is going on and is positive in all his assessments. I recently took Nalla in because she is having so much back leg problems and had become incontinent in both ways. ew! There is a new laser treatment out and we are beginning treatments and i have seen a difference already! She is on metacam which helps as well. We also take my sweet Shyla who is now 7 years old and has been his patient since 2003 when she was 8wks old. I only adopt animals from shelters so there are no typical genetic problems. I love my vet office and everyone there THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!

Thanks everyone ! I love staying with you guys while my Daddy and Mommy are away ! Everyone is great and I love comming in for a visit !! The doctor really cares about me and my health.

I just had to stop by and say Thank you sincerely to Dr.Howell and his caring and informative staff at Midway!! You guys realllly have our better halveslol in YOUR best interest and for that you can’t be thanked enough!! Junior thanks you even more so for being kind with his stubborn butt lol!! Again thank you from the bottom of OUR hearts!!

we love Dr Howell and his staff they took such great care of our aging cats Yogi & Boo. They care so much, you don’t have to look further for a fantastic vet and his staff.

Dr. Howell is the best Vet. we’ve ever had, and ever will have. We’ve asked him countless times to clone himself so we could bring him back up north with us for the summer/fall, even though we now have a good Vet. up here again. We’re definitely part of the Howell “Fan Club.” See everyone at Midway again hopefully sometime in mid~January for yearly 4 footer check-up time.

I can never thank you enough for all the great care and love you show towards us and our fur babies. We would be lost without you.
When we first moved here, I called and spoke with probably 20 different vet offices. Your staff by far is the sweetest, most caring and sincere that I have found.

I’ve had big dogs most of my adult life having been a breeder of Dobermans for awhile. Now I have 2 Great Danes strictly as pets. When I first met Dr. Howell I had to have two of my dogs put to sleep within 3 weeks to the day of each other. Pee-wee, a Silver Merle who became like my caregiver after I had both knees replaced, and Aja a buckskin, who was my first Great Dane. Pee-wee was only 5, and Aja was 9. They each had cancer, Pee-wee in his ankle, and Aja in her shoulder, I was totally impressed with the compassion, and empathy shown to our beloved “big kids”, and to us, my husband, and myself. We have since acquired Bubba a brindle and, the largest Dane I have seen in person, and Patch a Blue Merle, whose nickname is Psycho-Patch because he’s so hyper. We also had a Shepherd/Wolf hybrid named Shadow who last year at 13 had Dr. Howell assist with her end of life care. Needless to say I’ve had many experiences both good and bad with many vets. It’s obvious to me the dedication that Dr. Howell has for the animals, and the empathy for their owners goes way beyond the norm. Dr. Howell has a passion for what he does, and loves his job. I do believe that God has given him this gift. He is by far the very best vet that I have ever had the pleasure of trusting with the care of my “big kids” I have never known a vet who is so totally devoted to the animals that they would be open 7 days a week without charging and arm, and a leg for their services.. He is careful about who he hires to assist him in that care. His staff is of exceptional quality also. Anneke was the only person I ever saw that was able to cut Shadow’s nails without a serious struggle, while our mouths just dropped in utter disbelief! Sorry this is so long, but mere words cannot describe how truly blessed we’ve been to have been guided to Midway Animal Hospital, Dr. Howell, and his staff. A new name would be appropriate, something like Over-The-Top Animal Care, because no other could even come close by comparison. Thank you so much Dr. Howell! If there were an award for what you do you would win The Best All Around Vet Ever!!!

I want to first thank Dr. Moentman whom I met at Skyway vet. hosp. in St. Pete. where I also met with very nice staff members such as Wanda and another tech that was very caring, it was suggested that I take my cat to Dr. Howell at Midway Animal Hosp. sin Seminol due to the extent of her injury to her canine tooth and would need surg. and they have high tech x-ray for little kitty’s mouth and can do that type of surg. there and Dr. Moentman also works there in the clinic on wed. so Dr. M. did all the bloodwork and exam at his office and spoke with them on the phone and I was on my way home to call them. As you know so many people are out for MONEY and I can tell you I received the best care from Dr. Howell and Anneke the Head Tech and Mgr. they helped me when they knew I had money issues that hit me all at once, we have all been there! but they were so kind and worked with me in that area and saw her right away on Sun. and did x-rays, put her under with a gen.anesthesia, gave her pain inj. & antibiotic inj. to last 14 days cause what she had made her sick and also did dental work on other teeth and gums and gave me liq. pain med to inject in her mouth for next few days. All in a DAYS WORK for them! we went and picked her up at 6pm and she was all cuddled up in a soft blanket ( her favorite kind) and ready to come home.They took so much time explaining EVERYTHING to me & my daughter, did not rush us at all and I now have a NEW DR.and many many thanks to Anneka she is the best.You can really tell when a place cares more about the animals then money cause I have been there too! where its pay up RIGHT NOW or PUT YOU PET DOWN. Thankyou all so much and I am putting you on my Facebook page and tell everybody about your excelent care.

Midway Animal Hospital has the best staff in town. They are dedicated to patient t care and are so compassionate. Dr Howell has state of the art medical equipment in his hospital and offers onsite digital radiographs, onsite blood analyzer and laser therapy. I am confident that if I bring my pet to see Dr Howell that I will have a quick accurate diagnosis of my pet’s issue and a treatment plan all in the same day. That doesn’t even happen when take myself to the doctor! If you are looking for quality care for your furry family member call Dr Howell today. You will be happy and so so will your pet!
